Requirements to Run for School Board
- Be a registered voter
- Reside in the district seat for which you are running
- Submit a Declaration of Intent in person at the Doña Ana County Clerk’s Office on August 26, 2025, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM
- Complete mandatory ethics and finance training upon election

- Approving district budgets
- Establishing district policies
- Hiring and evaluating the superintendent
- Representing community interests in public education
